CV
Some thirty years ago, Yasser Aggour was born in New Jersey to drug dealers—actually pharmacists from Egypt. When he is not in his kitchen or satiating his C-span addiction, he can usually be found doing embarrassing things both in-front and behind cameras. Some of these efforts have been exhibited widely, including Los Angeles, New York, and Paris. In 2005, his work will appear at the Irish Museum of Modern art and in a traveling exhibit, Shooting the Family. He has degrees from Yale (MFA-sculpture), the London School of Economics (MSc-government), and the University of California (BA politics and fine art). He is currently an Assistant Professor at Syracuse University, where he teaches history of art, performance, and digital photography courses.
